Overview

This is a media converter that converts a 10/100Base-TX(RJ-45) to 100Base-FX(LC) via a 1310nm multi-mode fiber (MMF) LC connector, which allows distance reach up to 2km. This provides a cost effective conversion from 10/100Base-TX(RJ-45) to 100Base-FX fiber, while extending the network reach beyond the 100m reach limitation of copper. Our media converters are 100% compliant for all of our networking needs. Now you have a cost effective solution to your network upgrade needs.

Specification

Technical Description: AddOn Networks ADD-FMC-FX-LC network media converter 100 Mbit/s 1310 nm Multi-mode Black

Features
LED indicators:
Yes
Product colour:
Black
Internal:The product is built in.
No

General
Type:Characteristics of the device.
Network Media Converters

Network
Converter output interface:
100Base-FX
Converter input interface:A convertor changes one form of signal into another e.g. A/D Converter changes a signal from analog to digital. A convertor input interface is the place where a convertor connects to the product in order to input the converted signal.
100Base-TX
Maximum data transfer rate:
100 Mbit/s

Performance
Fiber mode structure:
Multi-mode
Wavelength:The distance over which a wave repeats itself. The wavelength determines the characteristics of the wave e.g. red light has a different wavelength to blue light.
1310 nm
Maximum transfer distance:The greatest distance over which the data/signal can be transferred.
2000 m

Ports & interfaces
DC-in jack:The socket/plug where the DC electricity supply connects to the device.
Yes
Fiber optic connector:This terminates the end of an optical fiber, and enables quicker connection and disconnection than splicing. The connectors mechanically couple and align the cores of fibers so light can pass. Better connectors lose very little light due to reflection or misalignment of the fibers. In all there have been about 100 types of optic fiber connectors produced.
LC
Fiber ports quantity:The number of sockets (ports) for fibers (cables).
1
Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports:Number of Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports allow a computer to connect to the ethernet.

Connectivity technology:
Wired
