Overview

The What Hi-Fi 5 Star award winning Lindy BNX-60 wireless noise cancelling headphones have been developed to deliver superb quality Hi-Fi sound using advanced aptX® technology without the distraction of annoying background noise. The BNX-60 feature high quality protein leather ear pads giving a comfortable, lightweight fit, whilst also providing excellent noise isolation. This noise isolation coupled with active noise cancellation technology reduces your exposure to external low frequency noise by up to 85%, allowing you to enjoy your music without distraction.

An integrated microphone allows you to make handsfree calls with your smartphone, tablet or PC when using a Wireless Audio connection, whilst on-ear music controls allow you to adjust the volume, Play/Pause and Skip Forward/Back so that you can leave your portable device hidden from sight.

The BNX-60s provide you with the flexibility to use them in a number of different ways: wireless and noise cancelling functionality at the same time, with wireless or noise cancelling separately, or in passive mode with no active features enabled. The BNX-60s feature a built in Lithium Polymer battery, which can be recharged using the supplied USB cable in under 3 hours to provide 30 hours (Noise Cancelling Only) / 15 hours (Wireless only) / 12 hours (Wireless and Noise Cancelling)

Technical Description: Lindy BNX-60 Wireless Active Noise Cancelling Headphones with aptX, Matt Black

Battery
Number of batteries supported:The number of batteries that can be used with the product.
1
Battery recharge time:Approximate time required to recharge the battery from completely empty to completely full
3 h
Charging source:How the battery is charged.
USB
Talk time:The total time a battery can power a device for calls. As the device drains the battery during a call, the talktime left in the battery is diminished until the device is turned off or the battery recharged. The longer the talktime the less frequently you will need to recharge. Talktime, expressed in hours and minutes, is much shorter than standby time because transmission requires more power.
15 h
Rechargeable battery:
Yes
Continuous audio playback time:Number of hours on average for continuous play. This is dependent on the device battery capacity.
30 h
Battery capacity:A measure of the charge stored by the battery. Determined by the mass of active material contained in the battery.
320 mAh
Battery technology:The type of battery in the device, e.g. nickel–cadmium (NiCd).
Lithium Polymer (LiPo)
Battery type:Description of battery supplied with the product, such battery form factor (e.g. AA/AAA).

Total Harmonic Distortion (THD):Total harmonic distortion is a measure of non-linear harmonic\n\ndistortion and is given in %. Non-linear harmonic distortions are\n\nsignals which were not present in the original before the signal was\n\nconverted by the headphones. These unwanted signals are caused by the\n\ndiaphragm, whose movements do not precisely move in time with the\n\nelectric signals that cause it to move. Unfortunately, this is a\n\nfeature of all electroacoustic transducers. Although it cannot be\n\ncompletely eliminated, suitable steps can be taken to minimise it.\n\nHowever, the user is not interested in why this distortion takes place\n\nbut in how great the level of distortion must be for it to become\n\nperceptible. According to the findings of several research projects, a\n\ntotal harmonic distortion of 1% in the frequency range of 100 to 2000\n\nHz is imperceptible. Below 100 Hz, the perceptibility threshold lies\n\nat 10%.

Headphone frequency:The range of frequencies (low to high sounds) that the headphones can produce.
20 - 20000 Hz
Ear coupling:Ear coupling describes the way in which headphones or earphones stay attached to, or inside, the ear. There are three common types of ear coupling: circumaural, supra-aural and intra-aural. Circumaural headphones enclose your ears with large pads that suppress external noise. Supra-aural headphones are typically more lightweight and sit on top of the ears with small pads. Intra-aural headphones come in two basic designs and neither style sits on the head itself. The first are ear buds, which sit just outside of the ear canal, on top of your ear lobes. The second type is actually inserted directly into the ear canal and offers some external noise suppression.
