Flexible, Reliable Inline Power for Power over Ethernet (PoE) Devices
The 3Com® Power over Ethernet Single-Port Midspan Solution can power an IEEE 802.3af compliant device, such as the 3Com Network Jack or IntelliJack® Switch, over standard Category 5 or 5e Ethernet cabling.

This 48-volt inline power source installs right in the switch closet, eliminating an exposed power supply and extra wiring at the workspace.

Installing Power over Ethernet helps save time and money because it's less vulnerable to damage or tampering than a local power supply.
