The ideal lighting at any time of the day - and more
The Arwen 550C is dimmable and can achieve a brightness of up to 4500 lumens, thanks to the large beam angle and the generous, glare-free light surface. It is ideal for the illumination of rooms up to 35 m2.
In addition to the brightness, the color temperature (from warm to cool white) can also be set in order to adapt the lighting to the lighting needs of the human biorhythm, in technical terms often referred to as "Human Centric Lighting" (HCL). Just a few years ago, researchers discovered nerve cells in the retina of the eye that are not responsible for seeing, but rather set the human internal clock - based on sunlight. Sunlight has a different light color at every time of the day, which tells our body what time it is. For example: A cool, bluish shade is like morning daylight and signals the beginning of the day to the body. The signals are passed on to the autonomic central nervous system, which in turn controls the hormonal glands and metabolism. Accordingly, the use of cold white light in the evening can lead to sleep disorders, or warm white light at noon can lead to tiredness and poor concentration.
Thanks to the adjustable color temperature (2700–6500 K), the smart Arwen ceiling lamps can imitate the color temperature curve of sunlight, giving people exactly the right light at any time of the day. During the day, these are rather cooler tones (between 4000 K and 5500 K), which promote concentration and combat tiredness, and in the evening, rather warmer tones (between 2800 K and 3500 K), which exude comfort and prepare the body for sleep. There is also a special mode for the night, the moonlight mode, which is gentle on the eyes thanks to its soft light and illuminates the room to an extent that you don't have to bump into anything. In addition, the Arwen sets great color accents on the ceiling with indirect RGB light.
All these settings are available in the Yeelight app or the Xiaomi Home app. Since the brand Yeelight is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem and uses the same cloud server as Xiaomi, the devices are automatically added to both apps.


No more bland colors - the furniture shines in all its strength
Over hundreds of thousands of years of evolution, the human eye has become accustomed to the natural light of the sun. Therefore, the more an artificial light source resembles sunlight, the more pleasant it is on the eye. The color rendering index (CRI or Ra value) indicates how lifelike colors are reproduced under a certain light source. Sunlight has the highest CRI value with 100. That means: The closer the value of a lamp is to 100, the more similar to sunlight. The smart Arwen ceiling lamps use high quality LEDs with a CRI of 95.


One lamp, many control options: app, language, light switch, remote control
You can control the light very conveniently by voice command (Google, Alexa, SmartThings) or via your smartphone - with the Yeelight and the Xiaomi Home app. In addition, there are two further practical control options if you have a visitor or do not always want to go into the app first: the Yeelight Bluetooth remote control and the Yeelight Bluetooth Smart Switch light switch. The light switch is battery-operated and therefore does not have to be wired, but can be attached anywhere on the wall thanks to the self-adhesive back. Compared to the conventional light switch (which of course still works), the smart switch has a big advantage: If you switch off the lamp with the Bluetooth light switch, the current flow is not interrupted and the lamps remain online in the app and connected to your voice assistant.
In the Yeelight app, you can set schedules so that the lighting goes on and off automatically at certain times. For example, you can fall asleep in the evening with the lights dimmed without them burning all night. Or you can gently wake up in the morning with slowly increasing light. You will find pre-programmed light scenes in the app, but you can also save your own favorite settings and apply them with just one click.


Installation and cleaning of a ceiling lamp has never been easier
The smart Arwen ceiling lights use a layered design for the lamp cover to prevent dust and insects from entering. As a result, the luminous surface remains shiny and clear without having to clean it.
The clever design of the ceiling mount with slide lock enables very quick and easy assembly and disassembly. Yeelight has already used this innovative design in previous models, so that you can easily upgrade your old Yeelight ceiling light with a newer version. Only the lamp body has to be replaced and not the holder - it takes less than 10 seconds!
