Overview

AddOn's GLC-SX-MMD-AO is a CISCO compatible SFP transceiver that operates at 850nm over Multi-Mode Fiber, with a maximum reach of 550m connected via a LC connector built to meet or exceed the OEM's specifications, and comply with MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) standards. All products are 100% functionally tested, and are guaranteed compatible.

AddOn transceivers (GBIC, SFP, SFP+, X2, XFP and XENPAK) are 100% compliant for all networking product lines, and are factory loaded with OEM specific configuration data required for networking compliance. These transceivers initialize and perform identically to the OEM transceivers and can be mixed and deployed with other OEM or 3rd party transceivers, for seamless network performance.

Specification

Technical Description: AddOn Networks Cisco GLC-SX-MMD TAA SFP 1G-SX 850nm

Features
Certification:
UL, cUL FCC Part 15 Class B
Compatible products:Other products that can be used with this product.
CISCO

General
Type:Characteristics of the device.
Unclassified

Operational conditions
Storage temperature (T-T):The minimum and maximum temperatures at which the product can be safely stored.
-40 - 85 °C
Operating temperature (T-T):The minimum and maximum temperatures at which the product can be safely operated.
0 - 70 °C

Performance
Fiber ports quantity:The number of sockets (ports) for fibers (cables).
1
Networking standards:The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g.
IEEE 802.3z
Wavelength:The distance over which a wave repeats itself. The wavelength determines the characteristics of the wave e.g. red light has a different wavelength to blue light.
850 nm
Maximum transfer distance:The greatest distance over which the data/signal can be transferred.
550 m
SFP transceiver standard:
SX
Fiber cable diameters supported (core/cladding):
62.5/125 µm
Fiber optic connector:This terminates the end of an optical fiber, and enables quicker connection and disconnection than splicing. The connectors mechanically couple and align the cores of fibers so light can pass. Better connectors lose very little light due to reflection or misalignment of the fibers. In all there have been about 100 types of optic fiber connectors produced.
LC
Multi-mode fiber (MMF) supported:
Yes
Interface type:
SFP
Maximum data transfer rate:
1000 Mbit/s
SFP transceiver type:
Fiber optic

Power
Input voltage:The voltage (V) which is required to power the product.
3.3 V
